Its sights count to the world´s most famous ones and for its beauty it belongs to the UNESCO – world cultural heritage for a long time – of course we are speaking of Salzburg – the big city in small format. Just by strolling through the old town you already bump literally into the main sights – the Residence, the Dome, the Fortress Hohensalzburg, the festival halls, castle Mirabell with its beautiful garden, Mozarts birthplace – just to name only a few… On the outskirts of the town you will find the stunning Palace Hellbrunn and the Zoo.
The most important card for your visit: The Salzburg Card which entitles you to free museum visits, boat tours, the free use of the public transfer and much more. During winter time you can experience a very special advent atmosphere all over the town at the different famous Christmas markets with their wooden stalls selling handicraft. Also a carriage ride has not to be missed! Last but not least the Salzburg Festivals, Opera and theatres make a visit during summer and winter well worth.
